Big Panda

Prerequisites​

We need to set up an API key integration in BigPanda so that InsightFinder can send insights to BigPanda.

1. Go to the Integration page in BigPanda.
   
2. Click “New Integration” button to start a new integration
   
3. Click the “Alerts API” integration
   
4. Input the following information:
   a. Integration Name: Name this integration. For example: InsightFinder-Integration
   b. Auto-resolve: Leave it to default value 30 days.
   c. Create environment to group incidents from this monitoring tool: Leave it Unchecked
5. Click the Generate App Key button and gather the information:
   a. App Key: Copy the App Key field from Step 1 on the BigPanda page.
   b. API Key: Copy the hidden text in Step 3 start with Authorization: Bearer
   i. The API Key is the hidden part after the Bearer part.
6. BigPanda Setup is completed now.

Setup InsightFinder​

1. Login InsightFinder and look for “External service settings”
   
2. Select BigPanda integration from the list
3. Click “New” to setup a new BigPanda Integration
4. Fill the following fields:
   a. System name: The system in InsightFinder we want to receive Alerts / Predictions in BigPanda.
   b. App Key: The key we copied from the 5.a step in the prerequisite section of this document.
   c. API Key: The key we copied from the 5.b step in the prerequisite section of this document.
   d. Options: We can select any kinds of data we want to send to BigPanda.
   i. New Pattern Alert
   ii. Detected Incident
   iii. Predicted Incident
5. Click the OK button to save the configuration.

View Alerts on BigPanda​

1. Find a Alert and click the Timeline
2. To see the details of an alert, click on the individual alert
